There’s free parking and the location is great. Budva costs more than other cities in Montenegro, so the price here is higher too.

We liked the garden best. Having breakfast in the shade of the mature lime and olive trees was a lovely way to start the day, and there was a good selection. The staff were lovely and tried to help us get the most out of our stay. Our room was small, though we also had a terrace, so that helped. Parking is tight, but manageable. We stayed two nights at Hotel Oliva, about ten minutes from the beach and fairly close to the main drag. A word of warning: that area felt a bit like Blackpool with sunshine and smaller roller coasters. The old town, once you get there, is really pleasant. For a reasonably priced hotel near the main sights, it’s worth considering.

We ate dinner here twice during our three-night stay, and both meals were excellent. The menu was large, portions generous, and the tomato risotto, seafood and fresh tomato salad were all delicious. The breakfast buffet was just as good, with plenty of homemade food and fresh fruit, served in a quiet courtyard among shady olive trees with a fountain. Branko, the owner, came out to help us park, welcomed us with a drink on the house and checked us in easily. He and the whole team were wonderful and well trained. Ana and Vesna, the two Serbian girls working there for the summer, were especially thoughtful and kind. The cooks and housekeeper were friendly and accommodating too. Parking and the narrow, tricky street aren’t ideal, but the staff are ready to help. Our room was clean and cozy, with a lovely private balcony. The bathroom was a little small, but not ridiculously so. Hotel Oliva felt relaxed and comfortable, and did everything possible to make us feel at home. I’d stay again without hesitation.

I felt at home here. We had reserved a room for three, but Mr. Branco offered us an apartment instead. It was very clean, the food was great, and there was parking. The place is well positioned by the beach. Mr. Branco is a special man, and if you need information, call him with confidence. On a rainy day he even lent us his umbrella.
