Studio Apartments 6 Palmi

The apartments are newly renovated, clean, and nice, and the host was very kind and helpful. Parking was the one problem. We could park inside the gates on 5/7 days, but when more guests arrived, there wasn’t always a spot, so we had to look along the road.

We arrived late at night after cancelling a nearby place because it was dirty, and the host kindly accepted our reservation. The place was sparkling clean, in the city center and only a 5 minute walk from the beach. For an affordable price, it gives you a hotel-like experience. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for that, and will definitely come again.

This booking turned out to be a scam. When we arrived, the host said we had no reservation and the apartments were full, even though we had the booking reference and confirmation email. She didn’t speak English, then called a man who said he’d show us another apartment. He got someone who spoke English on the phone, and we explained what had happened. She acted surprised and called it a mistake, but said another room was available for 15€ each. It wasn’t as nice as the apartment we were meant to have, but we were tired and needed somewhere to sleep, so we took it. At 8am the next morning, while we were still asleep, the lady opened the door to show the room to other tourists. When we checked out, she said we owed money, although we had already paid the night before. Then she claimed she had said 50€, not 15€ each. After a long discussion she let it go, and we left. We wouldn’t recommend renting this apartment. We felt unsafe and uncomfortable there.

The owner was very kind, and the room was clean with everything we needed for the week. It’s a very nice place to stay, about a 10 minute walk to the beach.
