Studio Apartments Marea 2

We stayed in studio #8 in Marea 2, the smaller building with studios. It was compact but lovely, with a little fridge, electric stove, some dishes, and everything else we needed. From the balcony we could enjoy the mountain view. The nearest beach is a ten-minute walk, though we usually took a boat to St Nicolai Island beaches (local Hawaii), where the sea was the cleanest in the Budva. A return ticket to Hawaii with Galeb company cost 5 euros, and kids ride for free. The furniture was almost new and in perfect condition, and the apartment was very clean. Marea Apartments are in the larger building. Vukasin, the director, was pleasant and always willing to help.

The small apartments are nicely designed, but they cost too much for what they offer, especially when better places are closer to the beach. I left angry and can't recommend staying here. We specifically arranged a late checkout until that night with the owner. On the day itself, someone kept coming by every hour trying to get us out. Nobody apologized for ignoring what we'd agreed. There was no wifi in our apartment, even though I had clearly said at booking that I needed internet for work. They suggested I work at reception, which was crowded and completely impractical with daily meetings. The lack of what had been promised caused extra costs and problems with my work, and they offered no refund.

Lovely stay, with great hosts. I'd recommend it, 10/10.
