It was a peaceful place to stay, relatively clean and quiet, which suited me as a solo traveler. I spent a few nights in Budva and had a pretty relaxed time. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. The father doesn't speak English, but his daughter does and helped me with everything I needed. It's a bit of a hike uphill to get to the beach and old town, though I didn't mind and got some cardio in. The shower worked fine, although I'm not keen on the handheld setup. The price was on the high side, but that seems normal for Budva in season. A solid stay if you want somewhere quiet and don't mind the walk.

After a seven-hour trip, I spent over an hour sitting outside the hostel, exhausted and hungry, because nobody was there to let me in. I'd sent my arrival time and the owner had confirmed it, but I couldn't reach him by message, and he doesn't speak English. He managed to send a WhatsApp message but didn't reply there either. A simple message translated into English with check-in instructions would have been enough, but instead he called me unprofessional and insulted me over WhatsApp. I left, and only two hours later did he contact me with information on how to get into the hostel. This was a disaster. He refuses to refund me, even though he failed to provide check-in details. I wouldn't have stayed there even for free.
