Vila Bojana Hotel

I enjoyed the breakfast spread, with plenty of different foods to get the day started. The owners were also very kind about timing: they let me check in two hours early and stay a couple of hours past checkout on my last day. Thank you, Villa Bojana! The hotel is central, near the bus station and around a 20-minute walk from Budva’s beaches, though those beaches are crowded and not clean. For me, the bus station around the corner was useful for hopping on buses to explore other coastal towns.

Our room was spotless, the air conditioning worked well, and breakfast had plenty for vegetarians plus a few vegan choices. It’s only a 15-minute walk to the old town. This family-run hotel was comfortable and calm, with friendly staff who were always willing to help. Highly recommended.

The small pool was nice. Our first room, number 11, was a disaster, and the hotel’s reception area was hard to make sense of. It was on the fourth floor, and the stairs were difficult for my wife, so we asked to move. The staff didn’t seem surprised by our complaints and gave us another room by the pool, which was OK. In the first room, there were stains from dead insects on the wall, dirty corners, moisture on the ceiling, broken wardrobe doors, and holes in the wall where a TV should have been. One wardrobe door fell on my daughter when she tried to open it. The bathroom windows were transparent, so you could see the neighbors peeing. The water pressure kept changing, making a normal bath impossible, with the water going hot and cold in short bursts. One AA didn’t work. Breakfast wasn’t good enough, especially for a vegetarian.

The apartment was huge and very comfortable, and it was cleaned every day. Breakfast was a superb spread of fresh fruit, local pastries, and freshly cooked dishes. The pool was a good size, very clean, and had sun loungers. It was a lovely spot to unwind with a glass of local wine. I also loved the cozy restaurant garden, with grapes growing over the roof and flowers all around. The Wi-Fi was reliable the whole time. Bojana is family-owned, and they were all so kind and made my stay memorable. The staff were just as friendly. It’s peaceful, away from central Budva’s noise, but still only a seven-minute walk to the waterfront, and you get a local feel too. I can’t recommend Bojana enough. Thanks to all of you, I’ll certainly stay here again when I return to Budva.
