The location is really beautiful, but the room was so dirty we couldn’t even walk around barefoot. The sheets were old and filthy, and the hygiene was bad enough that we didn’t feel comfortable. At 7 in the morning, the restaurant started playing music. There were mosquitos everywhere, so we couldn’t sleep. We left early because of all this.

I went for a fasting retreat, and this is my favorite hotel now. It’s a beautiful, authentic place, the food was amazing, and the staff are great people. You can tell they love what they do. I wish I lived there. There’s a yoga studio overlooking the beach too.

We stopped for a meal, so I can’t rate the hotel. The location is good, with a sea view, but I’d avoid eating here. The chicken soup had no chicken pieces at all, and it tasted like it had been made with a Knorr cube just for flavor. The pork kebab was the worst I’ve had in a while. The meat barely seemed marinated, tasted like leftover meat from the day before, chopped up and fried in a pan, and had no salt. Just don’t eat here.

The kittens were a lovely extra. I spent ten days here, and every meal was fresh, well made, and consistently delicious. There’s also a yoga room overlooking the sea for yoga and meditation retreats. Hotel Savojo deserves five stars for its warm welcome, wonderful staff, and remarkable seaside setting. The views at sunrise and sunset are worth more than the room price.

We came planning to stay for just one day, but ended up spending 8 great days here with my wife. Daniela was wonderful, and the room cleaner and restaurant girls were so nice. We felt right at home. Love from İstanbul. We love Jugoslavia.
