Pearl Beach Hotel

We stayed in the newly refurbished marina tower and had a very clean, modern room. I didn’t run into the issues some other travelers mentioned, and bottled water caused no problems for me or our group. It’s a large, very nice all-inclusive resort with several lovely pools and a family-friendly feel. Breakfast and dinner were buffet meals, with a changing dinner selection of meats, including fish and sometimes lamb. Alcohol costs extra. The private beach was nice, with sand and rounded stones, plus free umbrellas and chairs; there were no motorized activities. For a different, more rustic feel and some beach food and drinks, you can walk to a nearby village.

The kids loved the pools and little water park, and there were freshly made crepes and pizza they were really happy with. Food was decent for us, and none of us had any problems, despite the food poisoning and diarrhea complaints I read after booking. Drinks were available around the service areas most of the time, from beer and juice to evening cocktails. We visited in mid September 2022. Parking was a real mission, and we waited for our room, though the staff seemed committed even if they looked understaffed. The room was nicely arranged, but I wished the cleaning had been more thorough. Some of the uphill buildings looked run down, and other things could use improvement too. I told the receptionist I'd write a review, so better late than never. I gave it an optimistic four stars for the resort's potential, the staff's effort from reception to kitchen, and the special prices they offer from time to time.

The staff are all over the place and handle things really well. There’s plenty of basic food, and kids can have a great time in the pools. But once you've swum enough and eaten the meals, it gets busy and there isn't much else to do. The shower water was salty, though that's not the hotel's fault. I probably wouldn't return for myself, maybe for the kids to enjoy the pools.

There's a lot for families here, including a kids' club, playground, game room, evening entertainment, spa, fitness center, restaurant called "Bakar," and buffet or continental breakfast with all inclusive service. The resort also has a water park, seasonal outdoor pool, private beach area, bar, lounge, terrace, shared kitchen, free Wi-Fi, free private parking, airport transfers, and a 24-hour front desk. Čanj Beach is about a three-minute, 300 m walk away, so the resort is right by the beach. Rooms have air conditioning, a fridge, desk, safe, balcony, flat-screen TV, and private bathroom.
