I wouldn’t recommend this place. We booked four nights at Apartments Krsto Dobrisa in Kotor and specifically chose a room listed as “pets are not allowed” because we’re allergic to dogs. On arrival, the owner’s dog was running around on the balcony of our apartment. The owner said the dog was allowed on guests’ balconies and could also come inside if guests left their balcony doors open. Everything else nearby was booked, so we had to stay at least one night. Our allergies flared up, and it was clear the room wasn’t pet-free. The owner said she would keep the dog in her own apartment, but we found it on our balcony again several times. We had to leave as soon as we could. The owner wasn’t friendly about it and said we should have written ahead to check the room was truly pet-free, implying it was our fault. She did agree to cancel the booking, so we only paid for one night.

We had a great stay, with comfortable beds, a spacious bathroom, and a large terrace. The apartment was fully equipped, and the host was exceptionally kind and friendly, with lots of advice for us. It’s rare to find such a great host.

We had two really lovely days. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the owner and his sons were all so friendly. There’s no parking, but you can leave the car in a spot you find along the seaside road. They even helped us find a place and park. It’s at most a 7-8 minute walk to Old town, and you can go into the sea right in front. You can see the sea from the apartment, though the view isn’t amazing. The toilet and bathroom were clean.

The sea was just a short walk away, and the owner's friendly dog would sometimes come running over. I stayed two days in the off-season. The room had everything I needed, including a little kitchen, a good shower, and tea out on the patio.

The spot made it easy to get around, with the embankment and lots of cafes right outside and the old town close by. Inside, the apartment was clean and comfortable. It was chilly our first night, but the hostess brought us a heater for the next one. She also knew plenty of good places nearby.
