The only real drawback was the traffic on the busy road into Kotor. Its noise sometimes interrupted the lovely sea view. Otherwise, we had a marvelous stay at the Olive apartments. Radonja and his family were warm and friendly, and clearly wanted us to enjoy our time there. Our first-floor apartment was spacious and clean, with a balcony facing the sea. The kitchen was modern and fairly well equipped, and the bathroom was modern too. It was an easy 3-4 minute walk to the coast, and the pleasant walk into Kotor took about 20 minutes. The nearest bus stop was a short walk toward Kotor.

Our top-floor room had plenty of space, a great view, and what we needed to cook. We also got useful information about the area, and were met with genuine hospitality when we stayed here in October with our 5-year-old. There are bakeries, restaurants, and a shop nearby, and we found them good. The walk to the old town may feel far for some. If you're looking for an apartment in Kotor, I'd highly recommend this one. The waterfront walk to the Old Town is beautiful, though it's about 2 km. We also had a few lovely swimming spots and a beach bar just a short walk away, with shops, a bakery, and restaurants nearby. It made a great base for exploring the south of Montenegro. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped, and having private parking was a big plus in Kotor. We stayed six nights and were sad to leave. The host and his mother were incredibly kind and helpful, and our children felt welcome. He was easy to reach and quick to reply on WhatsApp, or available in person. His mother was often around and kindly offered us coffee or hot chocolate each morning. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Parking at the property was easy, and the apartment was clean, spacious, and had a small kitchenette. It was about a two-minute walk to the beach and ten minutes to the old town. The host shared lots of suggestions for restaurants, places to visit, and parking. They made pancakes for breakfast and helped us feel right at home.

The hosts were very polite and clearly devoted to looking after their guests. They brought us coffee every morning, and at the end of our stay one of them even gave us a free ride to the bus station. It's a nice place in Dobrota, with clean, good facilities. The pleasant beaches are only a few minutes away, and Kotor old town is around a 20-minute walk along the sea.
