What stood out most was spending evenings on the balcony, having dinner and watching the lights appear around the Bay of Kotor after sightseeing. The view from there is fabulous. We stayed several days in a comfortable, spacious two-bedroom apartment with basic amenities. Our host was friendly and helpful, as was everyone we met in Montenegro. There are small supermarkets and cafes within walking distance, and staying a bit away from the crowds suited us. Kotor Old Town is well worth visiting more than once. Getting around takes some planning: the apartment is about 2.6 km from Kotor and just over 3 km from the Old Town. Expect plenty of walking. Buses come about once an hour, if that, and this isn't New York where you can just flag down a taxi. We combined walking and buses, including trips to Perast and Budva. This probably isn't the place if you want luxury. But for a spacious apartment with basic amenities, a spectacular view, and a genuinely helpful and friendly host, it was a lovely base for exploring Kotor and the surrounding area.

We felt great staying here, and the owner was kind without hovering. The terrace is spacious, with loungers, a shower, and an outdoor dining spot, plus there's a pontoon and ladder for swimming. Inside, the apartment has a stove, fridge, and microwave, and it's comfortable despite being small. The furniture is dated but kept in good shape. There's a little balcony with a lovely view. Traffic made evenings somewhat noisy, and the internet came and went, though no worse than elsewhere in Montenegro. I recommend it, but the old furniture and road noise are why I gave four stars.

We spent most of our time in the yard, on its big terrace with sun loungers. The setting is lovely and has its own character, and the location is great. Everything was clean and neat, and the hosts were kind and kept to themselves. A great spot for a holiday!

The apartments were spotless and had everything we needed, just like being at home. The hosts were lovely and gave us plenty of privacy. We could really rest and recharge here, with a big terrace set up for spending the whole day outside and a fantastic evening view. It was even better than we expected. We'll happily come back.
