Casa Nuova

On our September round trip in Montenegro, my boyfriend and I spent three nights at Casa Nuova in Kotor. The apartment was extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable, and there was enough room for all our things. Check-in was flexible, and the AC worked really well. The location was great: it took about 15 minutes to walk to the old town, so we didn’t have to deal with finding a parking spot around the city. When parking in front of the building stopped being an option, they offered us a second garage. They also let us use the garage for the rest of our last day after checkout, without any questions. Would 100% recommend!

The location was great, about a 10-minute walk to the main promenade and around 20 minutes on foot to Kotor. Shops for essentials were nearby. The walk to and from the promenade is steep but manageable, though worth keeping in mind if you have mobility issues. Parking was available, seemingly on site or close by. We found the room comfortable and cozy, with a home-like feel. It had a comfortable bed, reliable Wi-Fi, a TV with international English channels, and air conditioning in the living room. The building felt secure, with fob entry after certain hours and security cameras. Our friendly host was welcoming, and everything was spotless and fresh when we arrived. We could leave bags if we came before check-in, depending on space at the main desk. The essentials were all there: fridge, cutlery, pans, hairdryer, extra toilet rolls, and towels. We had Room 9 by the entrance, which was convenient but had no view. I couldn’t fault the stay and would happily return. The only minor suggestion is to provide another key or change the room door lock, since if one person in a couple has the key and locks the door, the other person can’t get in.

The place was very clean, and being able to park our car in the garage out of the sun was a big plus. The bedroom stayed very hot at night, though, because the air conditioning was only in the living room. Even with it running 24/7, it couldn't cool the bedroom. It's the one downside.

The view was really lovely, and the rooms had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner stayed in touch throughout the reservation, showed us around, and shared useful tips about taxis and nearby places. She even got up early to say goodbye when we left. We’d recommend it!
