HUMA Kotor Bay Hotel & Villas

The spa massage my partner had was wonderfully relaxing. We also really enjoyed the food, and the whole F&B team made us feel welcome. Gul Riaz thoughtfully arranged a birthday cake for my partner, Jovanna at Mandolina was lovely and had good recommendations, and Ranjeet Kumar kept checking that we were enjoying ourselves. He was warm and funny. Surujit made excellent passion fruit martinis and was great to chat with. It was one of the best F&B experiences we’ve had, and the stay was a 10/10. The one small surprise at a 5 star hotel was that coffee didn’t come with complimentary milk. Big thanks to everyone for making it memorable. We’d definitely come back.

The beach is right across from the villas, and both the beach and villas have great WiFi if you need to get online. The food is good, and the location and villas are lovely. I drove there but left the car parked, since taking a cab to old town Kotor is easier and quicker. If you rent a boat for the day, they can pick you up and drop you off at the beach. I’d come back.

Bozidar, the concierge, deserves a special thank you. He was responsive, helpful, and took care of all the arrangements, including our transport. We really valued his personal attention and professionalism. Huma Kotor Bay is a beautiful hotel with friendly, professional staff and excellent service throughout. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book again.

The free bike rental was a nice perk, and cycling to Kotor was easy. Breakfast was good, the hotel is well kept, and the location works well. The friendly, attentive team at Virtu Beach Club also stood out. Our room, though, was the cheapest classic category, down in the basement facing a wall. At €400 a night in high season, the value just wasn’t there. Reception didn’t seem very interested in providing good service. We arrived at 3 pm and had to ask three times before we got into the room at 4:30. A delay could be understandable, but nobody kept us informed, which was frustrating. Then housekeeping knocked at 9 am on checkout day, even though checkout was stated as 11.
