Palazzo Radomiri

The location is spectacular, the décor has a quiet luxury to it, and we loved the terrace and all the outdoor spots for lounging and eating. We spent five nights in a family suite. The staff were generally warm and helpful, and three of our four first-night meals by the water were wonderful. The risotto came 30 minutes after the others, though, and was undercooked and barely seasoned. The waiter seemed genuinely apologetic and embarrassed. For what we paid, the details let the stay down. Our room TV didn’t work for the whole visit and looked like it hadn’t worked in a while. The bikes were in poor shape: we spent ages pumping up the tires and trying to get them ready, then gave up on our planned ride when one had a puncture. Staff said they’d look into both issues, but nothing got fixed. Bikes and paddleboards also cost extra to hire, which surprised me at this nightly rate, especially given their condition. We asked twice to have the sauna turned on, but it never got above about 30 degrees. After we spoke to reception, we were eventually told this type of sauna wasn’t meant to get hot, which didn’t sound credible. And the yoga classes listed on the website never appeared. We paid for the stay upfront on arrival. It felt like that left guests with less leverage if they had a complaint. No compensation was offered for the problems, and nobody from the hotel followed up to ask how our stay had been. It’s a wonderful place, but the attention to detail wasn’t there, and I felt it was trading on its location without delivering what I’d expect for the price. If you’re happy just lying on the terrace, you’ll probably have a great time. The extra facilities could be disappointing.

The rooms were quiet and air-conditioned, and the restaurant was very good. The location is ideal if you want to avoid the cruise crowds, with the Old Town just a quick taxi ride away. There are lots of stairs, but the staff will help carry your bags. Everyone was friendly. Beautiful hotel!

The view from our room was breathtaking, and the hotel had a genuine, authentic feel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, helpful, and ready to take care of anything we needed. We had a fantastic stay and couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Our historic room had a gorgeous view of the Bay, one we won’t forget. My wife and I spent three days here in Kotor, and we’d highly recommend it if you want a relaxing stay with a very friendly staff. Thanks to Hotel Palazzo Radomiri for a great visit!
