The beach below the terrace was clean and nice, but I'd avoid eating or drinking at Savina restaurant. The food was terrible and the prices extremely high, and they only take cash, not cards. Cars also speed past behind the restaurant terrace, which felt unsafe for children. Service and the restaurant terrace atmosphere were good, so come for the beach, but skip the restaurant.

We paid a man for deck chairs when we arrived in the morning, and he came around soon after, as you'd expect. When we left, the chairs had been added to our drinks bill again. The man we had paid denied receiving the money, although we had several reasons showing he was wrong. The manager didn't believe us, and someone working there steals. We won't be going back.

The beach was the only good part for us. We booked a sea-view room expecting a quiet stay, but delivery trucks were making upsetting noise from 5 or 6 in the morning. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures, more like something from Yugoslavian socialism, and the sheets and pillows had holes in them. Parking was awful, with space for maybe three or four cars. After we decided to leave, the owner wouldn't refund us even though we'd stayed just one day, then returned only part of what we'd paid in advance after a few hours. Avoid this place.

The service at the restaurant downstairs was amazing, and the food felt really home-cooked. It's probably one of the best places to eat in Herceg Novi.
