Hotel Lighthouse

The food was the same every day, and the linens and basic supplies were barely replenished: clean towels and toilet paper came only once or twice during our 10 days, while the sheets were changed just once. The elevator was unreliable, and people getting stuck in it wasn’t unusual. With 11 floors, that’s a serious problem among many others. Only about a quarter of the hotel seems luxurious. Most rooms are falling apart, and the online photos show just a small part of the property. Even the dining room looked nothing like its pictures. The reception staff were rude, unfriendly, and impolite. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

It’s close to the beach, but that was about the only good part. The entrance looks impressive, though the place isn’t fit to stay in unless you’re on floors 1-5. We waited almost six hours just to get our room key. When I finally went in, the room reeked of urine. There was no cold water, so I had to shower with water that was scalding hot, and the beds were uncomfortable. My mum and aunt had booked a room with two beds, but the hotel put another woman in the room with them. Breakfast was okay in my opinion, but lunch and dinner were absolutely disgusting.

The location is the only reason I’d give it two stars. I don’t want to say much about everything else, except that it was a disaster. Really bad.
