Palmon Bay Spa Hotel

I spent 10 days at the hotel and hope to come back soon. The prices were reasonable, and breakfast was great, with local food included. The thermal water pool, sauna and salt room were a great experience. Staff were kind and helpful, and my room was spotless.

The beach club was a highlight. The staff were friendly, the food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced, and having both pool and beach areas to choose from was really nice. The design is very good. We booked a Deluxe Double. It was clean, modern and comfortable, though it was a shame there was no kettle. Breakfast had a wide choice of cooked and cold food, despite what I’d seen in earlier reviews. The coffee from the machines was awful, some of the worst I’ve tasted. Try the urn of filter coffee instead, it’s better, though still not good. The breakfast chef handled my allergy really well, and I can’t thank him enough. The spa was nice and pretty standard for a hotel. The changing rooms aren’t very private, since you can see straight in from the hallway. The steam room smelled a little, like it might need disinfectant. We told reception, and they said they’d address it. For the price, I had a great stay. It’s good value and well located, and I’d stay here again.

We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday and would recommend this hotel. Breakfast offered plenty of variety for different tastes, and although we were on a B&B basis, there are lots of restaurants along the strip. Our Superior Double had a sea view, a huge king-size bed, and loads of wardrobe and drawer space. The room was cleaned daily, with supplies replenished when needed or requested. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. There’s a private beach for residents, plus a pool with plenty of sunbeds.

A film crew was staying at the hotel, and guests should have been told so we could decide whether to stay during filming. The pool staff kept moving us around because they needed to film again, which really wasn’t fun. Just let guests decide whether they want to be part of it. The parking attendant should have told us about the filming and suggested leaving our luggage at the entrance, instead of sending us to a lower parking area and making us travel six minutes back to the entrance. At reception, the staff member could have smiled more and checked that the spa card worked, so we wouldn’t have to stand there knocking on the door. It all comes down to customer experience. Take some lessons, it would help.
