The cabin was lovely, with a cozy gazebo and a spot to eat outdoors. We arrived to a warm place because they’d already put wood in the stove, though we weren’t sure how to add more when it got cold overnight. No one met us; we got a code to let ourselves in. The stairs to the bedrooms are extremely steep, almost like a ladder, and the upstairs railing felt loose and unsafe. Still, it’s a beautiful place and I’d recommend it.
A lovely chalet, and the people were friendly.
The kids loved having room to spread out, and there are three pleasant sitting areas. The wooden cabin feels special and thoughtfully put together, with very comfortable beds. We also used a baby cot, and the kitchen has everything you need. The owner was available for questions and tips, and the internet was excellent. There’s a small supermarket by the turn onto the main road; the city, with supermarkets, a bakery, restaurants, and bars, is only a few minutes away by car. A lovely, peaceful spot. The railing didn’t feel safe, though, and the air conditioner wasn’t working.
The place is small and doesn’t really suit five people, and getting upstairs feels more like climbing a ladder than using stairs. There were several other problems too: the air conditioner didn’t work, smoke came into the house through a hole in the oven, and some mattresses were uncomfortable. It’s a beautiful wooden house, and the kitchen was well equipped. The apartment as a whole had what we needed.
Everything else was okay, though there were snakes in the yard 😄
