The hotel’s setting is stunning, especially the pool area, and the design and scenery feel high-end. But at €250 a night, I expected better value and service. The staff didn’t seem very friendly, and even asking for something at breakfast felt uncomfortable. There was just one towel for each sunbed, and plates and bowls seemed rationed since we had to ask for extras. The water bottle given at check-in was never refilled. Each thing on its own is small, but together they don’t match the premium price. The WiFi was a complete disaster, barely working on the sun terrace and not working at all on the balcony. Frustrating. With more attention to guest comfort and service, this could be a fantastic hotel. For now, the price and experience don’t quite line up.

The construction outside the hotel caused water issues. For a couple of hours on three days, we had no water supply. Even so, the breakfast, pool, view, and location were all great, and it’s only about 15 minutes by taxi to old city kotor. The stay would’ve been perfect without that problem. The service was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly warm and hospitable. I can’t compliment them enough, five-star service!

There’s a lot to like here, but there’s room for improvement. The beautiful views, comfortable bed, pool, sauna, sunbeds, and relaxing space were great. We never struggled to find a sunbed, and usually had the sauna to ourselves. Breakfast was a daily highlight, with a delicious spread that changed each day and very friendly service. The location wasn’t ideal for us. We don’t mind walking, but the hotel sits up a hill, making the walk to and from the sea a bit of a trek. Dinner choices are limited unless you take a taxi. The fish soup at the hotel was delicious, but the other dinner dishes we tried were very disappointing. The beef was overcooked and dry, and arrived without the vegetables or sauce listed on the menu. We asked for bread with the soup and got cheap sliced white bread, the sort you’d use for toast. The €22 salmon was dry and completely tasteless. At the prices, and for a four-star hotel, I expected much better, especially with so few dinner options nearby. We raised our concerns because we felt it was important to give feedback. We don’t like complaining or being negative. The staff spoke to the manager, then told us there was nothing they could do and that we’d have to pay because we’d eaten the meal, even though we’d left nearly all of it. We asked to speak to the manager, who was unfortunately very rude. In the end they removed only the salmon from the bill. The manager then told us her staff would have to pay because we were refusing to. I worked in hospitality management for 15 years, and that was the most disappointing part. A sincere apology and decent management could have diffused things easily. Instead, we felt belittled and made out to be in the wrong. I’d rather avoid conflict at all costs. I’d struggle to recommend a stay after that experience. The hotel staff were so friendly, so this isn’t on them. But it’s clear to me that the manager cares more about profits than the customer experience, and that worries me about how other issues might be handled.

The location was a real plus for me. I loved being near the church, a supermarket, and a great swimming spot, with the Dobrota promenade and its restaurants in the other direction. The view was extremely beautiful, and the staff, led by Tamara, were generous and memorable. They really wanted to make our Kotor and Montenegro trip special, offering thoughtful tips, arranging taxis for €10 or less to Old Town Kotor, and serving excellent breakfasts and drinks each day. Breakfast was high quality and set us up for the day. There are also great restaurants within walking distance, including La Ricotta and Konoba Timun. I saw some complaints about the location, but if you want the best view, you need to walk uphill for a bit of elevation. I enjoyed it. Would definitely return, 10/10.

May felt like the ideal time to see Kotor Bay, such a hidden gem. The breakfast was a real highlight, with loads of choices and dishes you could order from the menu too. We'd head down and come back to find the room already made. Honestly, I can't fault this hotel. Do it.
