Hotel Monte Cristo

We ate here twice with a party of seven. The bruschetta and antipasti platters were delicious, and the service was great. Alexander was a helpful waiter. I’d highly recommend it.

The team made this stay feel personal from the moment I arrived. Everyone was warm and attentive, from check-in to their tips about things to see nearby, and I felt genuinely looked after. Monte Cristo Hotel is in Kotor's old town, and the building has a lovely mix of historic character and modern comforts. My room was roomy, spotless, and nicely decorated, so it felt easy to settle in. A special place to stay, and one I’d happily recommend to anyone visiting Kotor.

After seven weeks of trying desserts and plenty of letdowns, we finally found a tiramisu we loved. We stopped at Monte Cristo for coffee, and the waiter said theirs was the best. We were doubtful after trying tiramisu in London, Paris, and lots of places in Italy, but it really was fantastic, right down to the alcohol at the bottom. We also ordered a local dessert, Krempita, I think. The portions looked massive. My partner normally never finishes dessert, but after we traded a tiny taste, she polished hers off too.

Really kind and polite people, especially Milena and Mihajlo, both at reception and among the waiters. The food was delicious, and breakfast was generous. Great service, a perfect location, and very good conditions. I’d give it 10/10.
