Palace Jelena Rooms

Spotless, cool rooms and great value for the money. Right on the seafront, with the best brow in Perast. It’s easy to walk to, and there’s a friendly restaurant downstairs. Highly recommend.

Be careful reading reviews for Palace Jelena, since most seem to be about the restaurant, which has nothing to do with the rooms. We stayed in a fantastic room that went far beyond what we expected. It had just been renovated and came with a balcony overlooking Perast and the Bay of Kotor. I’d absolutely stay here again.

We stopped here to eat while wandering around, and really wish we hadn’t. The shared pizza was very mediocre, and the cheese tasted microwaved. Both of us who ate it got food poisoning afterward. It’s the only food we’d shared in the last few days, so honestly, I can’t think of what else it could have been. The food was bad regardless. The view was nice, but bees chased us away before we could enjoy it. It wasn’t too expensive, but you get what you pay for. Pretty much run away from this place.

The location is nice, but the food and service were both average, as were the prices. The black risotto was stiff and very salty. We were surprised that the mixed fresh juice was just orange and lemon :)
