Castellastva Hotel

We had a lovely holiday here. The view was beautiful, the buffet meals were delicious, and we could eat our fill. The hotel is in a handy spot near the beach, bus stop and shops, and the service was top-notch.

Jet2 quickly found us a place here after our flight was cancelled, so we stayed one night. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and polite. Dinner was an amazing buffet with loads of choice. Drinks at the small bar were good value, though service took a while with everyone waiting. The lift wasn't working, but many things about the hotel were great.

The only staff member who was kind to us was the big guy serving coffee. We won't return or recommend the hotel. There were so many stairs, with no elevator to the wings where we stayed. At check-in we were one room short. When we asked about it, the receptionist got angry, handled our passports roughly and was very rude. His name was Stefan/Steven. He also rudely demanded 12 euros for lunch before we'd eaten, even though the event organizer had covered it. Checkout was listed as 10 am. The female receptionist called our rooms and told us we had to leave then, right away. We said checkout was at noon, but she just said no. Staff really need to learn some hospitality.

Getting around was easy, with the Budva bus stop a short walk away. The hotel is also near the beach, Fresh Market for fruit or olive oils, and convenience shops like Aroma or Voli. We found the lobby spacious, with plenty of comfortable sofas to relax on, and the restaurant had a broad choice from seafood and meat to fresh fruit. Parking isn't large, but was enough for guests arriving by car. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay even nicer.
