Vile Oliva Hotel & Resort

The beach is too small and crowded with umbrellas that I have to pay for. A stupid policy. The outside looks beautiful, but inside it’s terrible, and it doesn’t deserve four stars. Minus four stars, if anything. The bathroom light didn’t work. I waited two days for it to be fixed and had to ask twice. The cleaning staff don’t know how to clean, and I had to ask the receptionist to get the room cleaned. Luckily, tomorrow is my last day here. It isn’t worth the price.

We paid extra for the beach, €14 a day, and there were no drinks or snacks there. We also couldn't bring any from the hotel, so beach access wasn't really part of the all-inclusive stay. Back at the hotel, the advertised room service wasn't available, the rooms had no phones, and reception didn't answer when we called the website numbers. One call was even declined. Parking information was out of date, and paying didn't guarantee a space. On arrival, nobody helped us park. A staff member who I later learned was some kind of manager sent me away, saying the garage was full when it wasn't. The booking page and official site also listed amenities that were missing or described inaccurately, including advertised ice cream that we never found anywhere on the property. A couple of employees were friendly and tried to help, but many seemed unhappy or disengaged. Simple requests could be met with indifference or rudeness. Even ordering a drink could mean being handed one in a plastic cup without a word or smile. The experience didn't match what had been promised, so I wanted to share this to help people set expectations or consider other options with better value and service.

The rooms were lovely, and the food had plenty of variety and tasted excellent. A special mention to Anja, who looked after us so pleasantly during our stay. The bartenders were great too. I'd happily recommend this hotel.

There was plenty for our 16-month-old, from the baby pools and playgrounds to the park, and the nearby beach was always clean. The hotel seemed well set up for children and babies. Our room stayed clean and tidy, and the maid regularly changed towels for both us and the baby. The food was tasty with lots of choice, and when we needed something special for the baby, our waitress arranged it with a big smile. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly, understanding and welcoming, and they did their best to make the stay easy. This was our first trip with our little one, and it became one of the best family holidays of my life. We can't wait to come back next year. Thanks for everything, guys.
