Piazza Apartments 2

The room was okay, especially since we paid 32 euro a night, less than the advertised Booking price. But the smell was hard to put up with. The hostess was unpleasant and made it clear she didn’t want us there. A restaurant manager downstairs made an inappropriate remark to my wife at the pizza place. We generally felt unwelcome and unsafe. A weird, unsettling stay.

The staff here were terrific, easily worth 10 stars, and the pizza downstairs was delicious. It’s an old building, but the apartments are nice, with windows opening right onto the beach. You can hear the waves at night, and it takes about a minute to reach the beach. Two supermarkets are about a five-minute walk away, with two large parking areas right beside them. Just keep in mind that cars can’t drive on the street, so you’ll have to walk a little to reach your car. That’s a small tradeoff. If you’re going to Petrovac, consider staying here. You won’t be disappointed. Huge kudos to Marko and Una!

The shower glass door shattered onto my wife and our 1.5-year-old baby. They had to go to the hospital, and my wife needed surgery. The room felt unsafe, and the management was extremely rude. They wouldn’t let us call an ambulance, then refused to acknowledge what happened in any reasonable way. We believe they used cheap glass that wasn’t shatterproof and wasn’t suitable for a bathroom. The police are involved. Save yourself a vacation and stay away from Villa Piazza. Atrocious.

The whole apartment smelled of mold, and the hostess was rude and unhelpful. She could barely speak and seemed drunk or mentally deficient. Such a disappointment.
