Hotel Boka

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff speak fluent English. Still, breakfast was very limited, the coffee was bad, and the staff were rude. The reception women were unfriendly and unwilling to help, and their bookkeeping had quite a few mistakes. They charged us for drinks we clearly hadn't taken from the mini-bar. The location is also poor for a vacation. It's in the middle of nowhere, almost 45 minutes from the beach. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

The buffet breakfast was good, and the staff did a great job looking after a busload of unhappy Easyjet passengers. I ended up spending a night here after Easyjet cancelled our flight home. The brand-new hotel is on the second floor of a shopping center, but none of the shops are open yet. Our room was very clean and well equipped, with a nice bathroom and a big shower. It's close to Tivat airport, so keep in mind that planes may wake you early. Walking to nearby restaurants wasn't pleasant because the roads were being worked on, leaving no sidewalks and lots of big holes.

The room itself was the only good part of our stay. The location was awful: a construction site in what felt like a scary movie, with access through an abandoned mall and an elevator. There weren't nearby restaurants where we felt we could eat without risking getting poisoned. The booking and service were just as bad. We first booked for two people plus an extra bed, then told them we'd be only two because we'd booked another room. They still charged us for the third person. Both rooms had the same sofa bed, but one cost 100 euros more, even though the cheaper one was booked weeks later. They'd offered to help arrange taxis, but when we asked, they said the ride to the Cable Car took five minutes by car and suggested we walk the 29 minutes along the highway. The buffet was a joke. I could serve more food in my tiny apartment for three guests. For value, I'd pay $100 extra and get a room at a hotel in Tivat. Lesson learned 👍

The rooms were lovely and cozy, with a king bed, a single bed, and a sofa bed all in one apartment. Mr Hossam at breakfast and Ms Maria at the front desk gave us great service.
