Ponta Nova Two bedroom apartment

It’s the people at Hotel Ponta Nova who made the strongest impression on me. From reception through to the service staff, everyone was welcoming, attentive, and happy to help. They made the stay comfortable and left me with such good memories that I’d like to come back.

Our room on floor 3 had a perfect view, though that depends on which room you get. Some sea-view rooms seem to look straight onto people passing by or near access areas. Getting to the beach walk takes a bit of navigating: go down to reception, leave the building, take the second elevator to ground 0, then walk about 60 steps down to the street. You can also go out through the restaurant on level -1. The location, meals, and service were all great, and the staff were available whenever we needed support. It’s easy to reach, and a taxi can drop you at level 3, while reception is on level -1. There were some real room issues, though. The bathroom design is poor and leaves a puddle each time, and while the rooms look good, we noticed mold, cracks, and stains on the carpet. The pools aren’t heated, so even when it’s under 30° they feel cold. The jacuzzi was broken and cold too. WiFi was nearly unusable, very weak and cutting out several times a day. I’d suggest buying internet access from your own provider.

The staff were amazing, the rooms were clean, and the view was 10/10. This place has the potential to be a 5 star hotel, though it needs a bit of maintenance. I’m giving it 5 stars because it really deserves it.

The rooftop pool looks out over the whole Budva Bay, and the view is unreal! 😍 It’s about a 5 minute walk to the beach, and there’s a large parking area, which was a big plus for us. The staff were always smiling, very friendly, and ready to help with anything. A fantastic hotel, 10/10, and highly recommended if you’re visiting Budva and Rafailovići!
