Hotel G Star

Our stay began with a warm welcome, but ended in arguments over basic things like the TV remote and room key. It left a bitter taste. Despite the appealing location, this was by far the worst accommodation experience we’ve had. We travel a lot, and I absolutely do NOT recommend this place. There was no respect for families with children or customer focused hospitality. The owner often acted inappropriately, showed little respect for guests, and blamed customers for every problem. The attitude felt very authoritarian, especially because we hadn’t booked through Booking.com. Breakfast was a disaster. Food was often running out, the same items kept appearing, and sausages that looked several days old were “reused” in omelets. They suddenly stopped making pancakes for the children, and the breakfast staff were intrusive and unpleasant. The room and facilities fell short too: there were no locks on the room doors, and getting a second key meant repeated arguments. We had only 3 towels for 4 people, and there was no toilet paper for 2 days. Pool towels were available only after asking again and again. Despite promises beforehand, there was no fridge, ice maker, or access to a kitchen. The pool became another source of trouble. Our children, aged 10 and 13, were constantly told not to splash or make noise, though no such rules were posted. At a hotel with a pool, kids splashing and making noise should be expected. We felt like intruders instead of guests. Parking was a nightmare as well. We had to move the car every couple of days, deal with locked and unlocked barriers, and keep asking for keys and access. We hadn’t come on holiday to keep rearranging cars and sorting out parking problems.
