Malibu Apartments

The location is great, but our booked room wasn’t ready on the first day, so we only got it the next day. They said it was the owner’s mistake, but the owner never spoke with us, and there was no price reduction even though we spent the first night in a room with a different price. That room had problems too, which I won’t go into here. In the bedroom the walls were moldy, and in the bathroom the moldy ceiling spot was dripping water. The balcony door in the next room made a loud screech whenever it opened, especially awful at night because it kept waking us. The Wi-Fi was unusable, and most of the furniture was falling apart, though the beds were a bit better. I’m sorry I forgot to take photos, so I can’t include any here.

This feels like a place to sleep for one night, not somewhere to spend a week. The room was in poor shape, and as I’m writing this I’ve noticed a bee nest above the balcony. There’s no staff here around the clock. My grandma wanted to head to the seaside around 7 a.m., but the only entrance door was locked and the alarm made it seem like she was a burglar. Later I went to reception to ask for the Wi-Fi password, but there was nobody in the apartment, just us guests. And those dishes in the photos aren’t ours, we packed ours. Yuk.

The sea air comes right into this cozy, open space. Staff were attentive, and our food arrived quickly and tasted good.

The food was so good! I was out playing in the ocean with the whales, and it was such fun. Bye 🌊
