Aman Sveti Stefan

We weren't hotel guests, just visitors on a tour organized by the hotel staff. You can only enter the island as a guest or by paying for a tour at a set time, which gives the guests real privacy. The staff were very friendly and professional. The rooms combine luxury with simplicity and elegance, and every detail felt thought through. The island is beautiful and distinctive, and the hotel is truly high class. The photos show its beauty.

The beaches around the island are open to the public, even though the island itself is a private resort. When we went in early May, there were at most five people on the beach, and the water was warm enough for swimming. It's a lovely place to watch the sunset.

The private beaches and spa were among the highlights, and the staff were warm and friendly. There really isn't anywhere else like this that I've seen or visited, and the stay was amazing. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful, especially dining on the terrace with the sea in view. If you're visiting this part of the world, consider staying here, or at least come for a meal and a look around the property.

The waves crashing against the island rocks are an incredible sight. We visited on a sunny day, and a very polite staff member showed us along the narrow paths. It's a unique, breathtaking place, though immensely expensive. Don't miss it if you're in Montenegro.
