The hostel had a strange atmosphere, and it was often unclear who actually worked there since many long-term residents were around. The service was poor, and the place was very dirty, with a urine and cat smell; cats were allowed to roam inside. The location wasn't good either, and it was hard to get to. Unless hygiene and a decent night's sleep aren't important to you and you're mainly looking to party, I'd look elsewhere. Avoid it unless you have no other options.

I remember a really warm stay at Hostel Anton. The views were amazing, and the beds were good. The room was okay and clean. What I liked most was the staff and the laid-back, social atmosphere. That's just how a hostel should feel to me.

The private room was clean and warm, and I enjoyed the stay a lot. The staff were excellent and very helpful. It's only a few minutes on foot from the center. I especially liked the spontaneous party in the lobby with the other guests and staff.

Rodrigo and the rest of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The hostel has a nice vibe, with couches and a pool table in the first-floor living room, plus a rooftop where you can enjoy the view. Rooms and bathrooms are simple but good, and there are plenty of outlets and solid Wi-Fi. Markets, restaurants, and a public beach are all within a 5 to 25 minute walk.

We paid 20 euros per night, and the price was good. The staff were helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist. There are pleasant shared spaces, including a small lounge or garden outside, and a rooftop view. The shared kitchen was well equipped, and the hostel is close to the airport. But the rooms need maintenance. Our room had no hot water, and staff kept saying it would be fixed “tomorrow,” so we had to shower on another floor. Our room didn't look like the photos either. Bring mosquito repellent if you stay, because the place is full of them.
