Laguna Mini Resort

The location is great, and there’s a private beach. The staff were super kind and helped us with everything we needed. The place could use better maintenance, but I guess that’s what you get at a three-star hotel.

We had to sleep in the living room for six nights with a noisy portable air conditioner. The host kept promising it would be fixed the next day, but when we left it still wasn’t working. We also had electricity cut out at least three times, and the internet was poor when all the apartments were occupied. We stayed for four weeks, but although we had problems from the first day, the host never made the simple effort to meet us. Maintenance was bad throughout. The bathroom drains were blocked, mosquito screens damaged, and the rooms and living area untidy. Neither of the two apartments we used had working air conditioning, despite the roughly 30-degree heat at the end of July. There was no cleaning or other service. During the day we heard planes, and in the evenings, kids on the beach. The water in front of the hotel didn’t feel like the clean Adriatic, it’s a bay where rubbish collects. The property also doesn’t look like the nice photos. For quieter places, look around Perast or along the Adriatic coast, and avoid Budva, the noisiest summer resort I’ve seen. If you want peace of mind, don’t be afraid to spend a little more and go to Croatia or Greece. Montenegro’s service and hospitality are next to none, so avoid it if you can afford to.

We had a three-bedroom apartment with a sea view and a private beach, which worked really well for our big family. The house had everything we needed, and kayaks and SUPs were free to use. Highly recommend.

Mirna made our stay especially easy. She looked after the accommodation, anticipated what we needed, and was always there discreetly when we needed her. The apartment was beautiful, with direct access to the pool and beach. I enjoy cooking, and the kitchen was fully equipped for it. My children loved having the SUPs for free. We were in a quiet corner, but could walk to the fashionable area in 15 minutes. My daughter even spotted a dolphin right in front of our room, which made the stay feel extra special. A real pleasure to be there.
