Nikki Beach

The biggest letdown was the service. Staff were friendly enough, but it didn’t feel like five-star attention. Room service was especially frustrating: the person on the phone seemed unsure about the menu and said the dish I wanted wasn’t available, then my food took almost two hours to arrive. There were plenty of good things too. The resort is beautifully designed and maintained, with lovely views of Montenegro, attractive pools, and a modern, well-equipped gym. My room was comfortable, the bed and sheets made for a great night’s sleep, and the bathroom was impressively spacious. I also enjoyed the spa treatments, though the steam room was broken throughout my stay. Nikki Beach Montenegro has a lot going for it, but the service and attention to detail need work before it delivers the five-star experience it could offer.

Anja and Nikola really went above and beyond. Anja even offered to watch our toddler while we enjoyed the beach, and our little one had the best time with her. She’s the best! We loved our stay. The whole team was welcoming, professional, and so friendly, and it was clear everyone wanted to give great service. The food, drinks, and service were amazing, and the views were spectacular. We’ll definitely be back.

The rooms are spacious and fairly quiet, and the beds are comfortable. The hotel itself is nice, but I wouldn’t call it five-star by my standards. Cocktails are around €18-20. There are plenty of staff, yet getting anything done can take ages. At breakfast, tea or coffee might not be offered until half an hour in, and by the pool you may have to go find someone to order a drink. I also got the impression that Russian guests were served and prioritised first. Since it’s a beach club, events can close parts of the hotel to guests. I expected that to mean the lower beach club deck, but we were also kept out of one of the pools. Using the beach club requires paying €150 for a bed, with champagne.

The resort itself is lovely and generally clean, but the service made this a very disappointing stay. The front desk girls were outstanding and helpful, though their warmth gave me a false impression of what the rest of the visit would be like. Restaurant service was awful. I had to call staff five times to get an order, and once waited a full hour for an omelette at the buffet before giving up and leaving. Some staff would just nod to show they’d seen me, then take another ten minutes to come over. There were often at least five people chatting in the restaurant while only one dealt with customers. A pina colada by the pool took an hour too; they said the first one had been spilled. Pool service was just as bad, and the sunbeds weren’t prepared until 11 am. They blamed it on it not being peak season, though I visited in September, not the middle of winter. I also found cigarette butts on my room’s balcony when I checked in. I could go on, but those are some of the main issues. I expected much more from a franchise like nikki beach, and it’s embarrassing this can happen there. I won’t return. Please don’t waste your time here: serious staff improvements are needed before this resort should be considered.
