Petivat Gardens

The hosts were some of the kindest people I’ve met, and this place really feels like it has a soul. The apartments are comfortable, with breathtaking views, and the house is close to the beach, a large grocery store, the gym, and everything else you need for comfortable living. Can’t wait to come back!

This lovely family-owned apartment is in a quiet part of Tivat. The hosts are warm, friendly locals who treated us to homemade rakija and wine. Thanks for such a great experience!

We enjoyed every day here and stayed for three months. We would gladly have stayed longer, since it had everything to make us feel at home. The kitchen was modern and well equipped, even with a dough bowl and all the pots for cooking. The balcony was a great place to relax, with a magnificent valley view. Marta and Branco have a lovely garden with grapes and olives, and shared their delicious wine, olives, and olive oil with us. Stefan was also a great host, very helpful, a pleasure to deal with, and spoke great English. The location was peaceful and not far from the center of Tivat. The big supermarket was about a seven minute walk away, the beach about five minutes, and the airport just two minutes by car.

I’ve stayed in dozens of places around the world, and Petivat Gardens is the best. It’s a sublime place to work and relax, with family-like hospitality that still gives you good boundaries. One owner runs a 5 star hotel, and it shows in how welcoming the place feels. The new apartment was spotless and had new appliances that all worked perfectly. It was spacious enough for two people to work online on Zoom without noise or internet issues, and the bed was very comfortable. Sunlight brightened the apartment, and the green-blue sea shone through the trees nearby. The large, quiet farm has olive trees, a vineyard, and flowers, while the main street is just a 2-3 minute walk away. The beach is also a three minute walk. I was there reading this afternoon, and the water was nearly perfect. I can’t find anything to criticize, and I’m not overstating it when I say it feels like a garden of Eden. I’ll be back, and my friends will too. Tivat is a four minute drive away, with some of the world’s biggest yachts, high-end stores, and top restaurants at one-third the price of New York. I cooked a few times a week, and everything I needed was available, from cookware to utensils.
