The way we were treated after leaving was especially frustrating. The owner and staff refused several times to refund us, even though we’d gone after just one night, and we later learned the apartment had been rented to someone else for the rest of our booking. We were still charged for all four days. We left because the place was unlivable. It was in a semi-basement and smelled strongly of mold and damp, so staying there wasn’t possible. A deeply disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We tried both the Hotel (Carruba) and the Zebra apartments, and would happily come back. Both were spotless and furnished with care, down to little touches like umbrellas and a shoehorn. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Breakfast by the waterfront, with those lovely views and superb service, was something special. Highly recommended.

The front office team were all really helpful, and breakfast was good. You do need to book a table, though, and it only fits three people. The Zebra apartments felt like staying in someone’s house while the owner was away 😂. The bed was uncomfortable, and neither the kids’ pool nor the area around it was clean. It’s an okay option if you want somewhere cheap, but I wouldn’t really recommend it for a trip with kids.

The garden is lovely, and there’s a small pool too. My room was clean, cozy, and just right for me traveling solo. It’s a relaxed little hotel across from the beach. Finding it took a bit at first, so look for the Zebra wall. Breakfast at the sister hotel on the waterfront was delicious.

We had a really enjoyable stay. The location is perfect, close to the sea for a swim with a nice view. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
