Hotel & Beach Club Mediterraneo Liman

It's close enough to walk to the city, yet we couldn't hear a thing there. The beach was wonderful, and having sun loungers was a nice bonus. A lovely place to stay, with welcoming, friendly staff. If you want peace and quiet while still being near the city, this is the place.

The staff were friendly, always greeting us and ready to help. This nice hotel has a private beach and is about a 10-minute walk uphill from the old town. We spent two nights in a standard apartment and another two in one with a sea view. Both were spacious and clean, with nice interiors, though the sea-view apartment was much nicer. The standard one had several problems: a broken plastic holder in the fridge and a broken freezer door, a leaking toilet that made a loud beeping noise while refilling, and a rusty bathroom lamp. Breakfast was okay but basic, with a small buffet and very little variety. The kitchen in the sea-view apartment could use some basics like oil, salt, pepper, and a wine opener. There also weren't enough glasses for the number of guests. When we asked, the staff brought us everything that was missing.

The apartments are large and suit families with kids or bigger groups. The kitchen is a little less equipped, but otherwise there's what you need. Parking is included in their private lot, and there's a restaurant open all day. They also own the beachfront, so you have everything in one place. It really feels like a peaceful island in a crowded city, about a 10-15 minute walk from the old town and the noise. Ulcinj's roads can be tricky: they're narrow, steep, have sharp turns, and no one-way road system. Driving may be easy for locals, but it's not ideal on holiday. Still, with a good car, some courage, and a bit of negotiation with oncoming drivers, you can manage. Even with the roads, I recommend this aparthotel.

The team at Hotel Mediterraneo_liman were so kind and seemed to anticipate what we needed. They brought breakfast right to our door, gave us lifts to the beach, and shared tips for places like the "women's beach" and the Fisherman restaurant, which was delicious. "Przemiła" fits them so well. We four Polish women came to Montenegro for a long May weekend, before the season, hoping for a little rest, adventure, and maybe some mischief. The hotel made a charming base. Our rooms were more like apartments than ordinary rooms, with plenty of room to move around. The views were postcard-worthy, and the staff were happy to bring us coffee to enjoy while looking out. The hotel is very close to the beach, so we took spontaneous dips in the still-cold sea. Wandering the narrow streets nearby led to some lovely accidental discoveries. We could probably find a few small things to nitpick, but we felt so welcome and cared for that they didn't matter much. The big terrace was perfect for evening chats, and the sand was only a few steps away. It was an experience as much as a place to stay, with beautiful views and what we needed close at hand. For a relaxed, delightful Montenegrin break, we'd recommend it. The four of us give it a hearty "tak".
