Hotel Pirate Old Town

The place is in a wonderful setting with a great view, and the new management are trying, though they seem quite inexperienced. We paid 120 Euros a night for an apartment that badly needs refurbishment. The heating, fridge, and washing machine didn’t work, and the sitting room flooded, leaving the flooring warped. Poor value, and definitely not 4 star.

Pirate Hotel was a great base for exploring the area, close to the beach and local attractions. I especially loved the seafood at the on-site restaurant, fresh and flavorful, with generous portions. The rooftop terrace was another highlight, a lovely place to have a drink and watch the sunset over the Adriatic. The pirate theme gives the hotel a fun, adventurous feel. My room was spotless and spacious, with thoughtful decor that mixes modern comfort with character, and waking up to the sea view was a treat. From arrival, the staff were welcoming and helpful, making sure I was comfortable. I had a memorable stay and highly recommend it if you want somewhere unique and comfortable in Montenegro.

The clean, comfortable room and fresh, tasty breakfast made this a lovely stay. The hotel is right in the Old Town, with a breathtaking view over the sea. A perfect place to soak up the historic charm of Ulcinj.

The stairs and hills are worth bearing in mind. Getting to and from the main strip means climbing up and down quite a few, so it may not suit anyone who isn’t fit or has trouble with stairs. For me, the view made the daily climb worth it. The rooms were amazing, and the view was awesome. Breakfast and reception staff were welcoming and helpful, and the whole team was super friendly and willing to make the stay more pleasant. Great location, and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ulcinj. 10/10.
