Plamenatz studio apartments

The host family made us feel so welcome, and the breakfast served by the mother every morning was tasty and amazing. On the day we arrived, we also got to have dinner with homemade wine, which was extremely good. It’s been our best experience so far. Our new apartment had a well-equipped kitchen, new air conditioning, a working shower and a good bed. The Wi-Fi wasn’t always great, and it could get a bit noisy inside, but neither was a big deal for us. Virpazar centre is a five-minute drive away. You can park along the small road to the apartment, then walk ten minutes for groceries. Good wineries, excursions and swimming spots are all reachable by car. We stayed three nights while visiting Skadar Lake and the surrounding area, and couldn’t be happier. With breakfast included, the apartment offered excellent value for the price. It’s a perfect base for exploring the lake and nearby places.

Marko’s mom is a fabulous cook, and I loved her home-cooked meals, really, they were feasts. The apartment was cute, modern inside and rural outside, a perfect combination, in a beautiful location. It’s a quick drive into town, though you can walk if you want to. I meant to stay just one night, but it was so relaxing that I added extra nights. Highly recommend if you’re exploring the area!

Have dinner there on your first night, you won’t be disappointed. After a week in Montenegro, we still hadn’t found a restaurant to match his mum’s phenomenal cooking. The grilled fish with Dalmatian potatoes and the smoked fish were so good that we saved the leftovers for lunch the next day. His homemade wine was genuinely excellent, and breakfast was wonderful too. Marko can also arrange a boat tour and pack you a delicious picnic. The place itself is special, close to the lake, with hills in view and goat bells jingling nearby.

The hospitality was great, and the rooms were very nice. We had a huge vegetarian breakfast, made on request. One of the hosts took us on a boat ride on lake skadar, which we can highly recommend. We had a great time.
