We arrived late because of an accident on the way, and they waited for us. The staff were very nice, speaking a mix of English, German, Italian, and Montenegrin. Breakfast was decent, with tea, honey, and other homemade goodies. The rooms were modest but clean, and the location was quiet.
It’s right on the road to the Black Lake, and there’s also a route from the camp that goes directly there. The place is pet friendly, and camping around here seems to mean you don’t have to pay the national park entry fee. There are 10 bathrooms with plenty of hot water. I liked the 10 euro menu with fish, salad, and local white wine. Reception and staff speak enough English, and they speak German too, even better than English. I’d definitely recommend it.
The host is very hospitable, and we’ve already stayed twice, once for skiing and once for mushrooms. We’ll definitely come again. The Black Lake and national park are within walking distance, and the town’s shops, cafes, and restaurants are nearby too, down a beautiful, peaceful road through the forest.
The local food they cooked was fantastic, and we loved our stay. We were two friends there for three days at the beginning of October 2024. From the property, it’s just a 15-minute walk straight to the Black Lake. Our host was extremely helpful and got us the best deal for renting e-bikes.
A great place to set out on a multi-day hike, with cozy camping spots and good, cheap food. They sometimes offer homemade brandy shots, too. The patron is an absolute legend who can fix and provide anything you need. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Montenegro.
