Yann, Aura’s concierge, met us at the airport and looked after us throughout our anniversary and birthday trip. He arranged basic groceries for our arrival and helped set up tours and private chef experiences. He was sensational. Our suite felt fresh and modern, with a furnished kitchen, living room, large bedroom, and ensuite. The resort had been built within the last two years, and we also had a private pool for relaxing evening swims. The grounds were clean and well kept, and you could see the care put into the place. Aura sits in mountainous surroundings that lead down to a lovely beach with a waterfront restaurant and bar, a nice way to wind down at the end of the day. We felt at home and very relaxed. I’d highly recommend booking here if you’re going to St. Martin.

The steep hills around Aura can be nerve wracking if you aren’t used to driving them. Still, the hotel itself was amazing, with a gorgeous pool, a laid-back feel, and really friendly staff.

The relaxing setting and beautiful surroundings made my stay at Aura Anse Marcel wonderful. I felt welcome and well cared for the whole time, and the service was exceptional. A lovely choice if you want to unwind and enjoy a high-quality stay.

The villa has a beautiful, modern, “architectural digest” look and is split into luxury apartments. It’s secluded and far from everything, which will suit some people. Getting there is less pleasant, though: the only access is a very steep, narrow road.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was quiet and private. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it. Everything felt very new, clean, and modern, with comfortable beds, nice kitchens, and a gas grill on the patio. Anse Marcel beach is easy to reach, and there are boat charters and great hiking trails nearby. We’ll return as often as we can.
