The staff were especially friendly, and our room was spacious and clean. There are plenty of restaurants, shops and a mall within walking distance. Getting over to the Dutch side means taking a taxi or renting a car. The restaurant was the one letdown: the prices felt out of this world for such small portions. Everything else was great.

The little beach is right there, and the market in Marigot is only a 5-10 minute walk away. There’s also a car rental desk and an activity desk at the hotel. We booked through an Air Transat package in Canada with our flight, and got a good end-of-season price in April. The hotel is small and very nice, and it was clean. A bit of paint on the main building and new chairs in the breakfast area would be nice upgrades.

Being able to walk to the Marigot market, different restaurants and the supermarket in just a few minutes was a big part of what we liked. Sarafina, which we thought was the best French bakery and pastry shop in St Martin, was close too, and there was live music every night. We loved our ocean-view room, with its clean, spacious king-size bed and duvet, plus a balcony over the beach. We stayed from February 6 to 13, 2016, and this was our fourth visit to St Martin. We chose not to take the all-inclusive option because we like trying different restaurants, and rented a car to visit other beaches too. The hotel beach is rocky, and you have to find a way between the rocks to swim. It was a very pleasant stay, and our best visit yet.
