My experience with the staff was negative. Because of the Venezuela situation, I missed the first two days of my stay, but manager Claudette refused to soften the blow with free breakfasts. Hotels are usually kind to guests and try to make things right, but that didn’t happen here. The location also wasn’t great for me, about a 10 minute walk from the beach. At the beach, chairs are free only in the third row; otherwise you have to pay. I don’t recommend this hotel.

We loved our holiday at La Plantation. The front desk folks were lovely, the wraparound veranda was beautiful, and both the ample breakfast and fine dining were superb. Their arrangement with 5 beach clubs also meant complimentary loungers and an umbrella for us. Everything was wonderful.

We’d return without hesitation. The room was spacious and gorgeous, with an amazing view and everything we needed. Staff were friendly, quick to respond, and ready to help. We enjoyed the restaurant and breakfast buffet too. The one downside was no hot water in the shower. Five-star service!

We had a sea view, adjoining rooms, and a small kitchenette that we used a few times for lunch and dinner. The hotel and service were excellent, and the breakfast buffet was included in the price. It’s a short walk to Orient Bay, where the beach clubs offer plenty of choices, with sun loungers and towels included in the price. We rented a car for a few days to explore the island, and reception helped arrange it. They also found us a local doctor when we needed one for an ear infection. Fully recommend.

A clean, comfortable boutique hotel with good air conditioning, a great restaurant, and reasonable prices. The beds are okay, though they aren’t pillow top, and there are no exercise facilities. My main complaint is that housekeepers leave the rooms open while cleaning, so there’s always a resident mosquito or two.
