Les Balcons d'Oyster Pond

The staff were warm and welcoming, and we’d happily return. There’s a tiny store and café nearby, which was handy. Our cozy bungalow had a thoughtfully designed layout and a fully equipped small kitchen, plus a private terrace overlooking the yacht club where we enjoyed morning coffee and relaxing evenings. The property was clean and beautifully maintained, and fully operational despite the major hurricane shortly before our stay.

We stayed a week over Christmas and found Oyster Pond quiet, with an area where we felt very safe. There’s plenty of parking on site, plus good restaurants and a bakery within walking distance. Our spacious room had separate sleeping and kitchen areas, a king bed, a good-sized washroom with plenty of hot water, strong WiFi, and good A/C. The large balcony and its bay view were amazing.

Claude was there for every little request and suggestion, and we loved our stay at Les Balcons. We were on our honeymoon and the Dutch side felt too busy and touristy for us, so we followed the TripAdvisor reviews and came here just a few minutes away. Our cute bungalow had a magnificent view over a beautiful cove and felt full of great energy, with lots of love and TLC in it. It’s in a little village, with a 15-minute walk to the beach, a great pool on site, and three amazing, very French restaurants just five minutes away. The room was large and nicely decorated. It felt more like home than a grand resort, and we loved it.

We spent eight nights here in February and really enjoyed the quiet setting, lovely terraces, and great views. It’s also a nice place to start a run: we’d go around Babit Point, north towards Quarter d'Orleans, then finish back down the hill at the French épicerie for breakfast provisions and pastries. In February 2026, a new store opened next door too, bright and well stocked. Nearby food options include pizza from Mama's Pizzeria, which we liked taking to the terrace for sunset, and the twice-weekly rotisserie chicken from Bread and Butter. The rooms are basic, with a good-sized kitchen and a bed that’s comfortable enough, so don’t expect luxury. The very cool lights, probably 4000K or 4700K, don’t create much ambience. There’s some janky wiring and odd switches, but that didn’t detract from the stay. Adjust your expectations accordingly.
