What makes this place special is the staff. They’re warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, and that alone makes the hotel worth staying at. The location is fantastic, with a terrace overlooking Tana. There are different room types, some with en suite bathrooms and some with shared ones. Breakfast is good value, and the evening meal menu is lovely. The hotel also has good security.

It’s close to the city center, with decent facilities and meals you can buy on site. There are also restaurants and two grocery stores nearby, and an amphitheatre right across the street where concerts happen from time to time. Mosquitoes still get into the room, so be aware. My mosquito net had a hole, but I’d brought a small sewing kit, so it wasn’t a big problem. The power also went out daily during my stay, once five times in a single night.

The quiet neighborhood is a plus, and the small balcony has a nice view of the queen’s palace. I had the cheapest room, which was very small, with only space for two beds. The bathroom was outside the room, and it was difficult to get the water temperature right, either very hot or very cold.

The place is nice, and the rooms are quiet and clean. They helped us plan our trip in less than half an hour and answered all our questions, getting everything sorted before we’d even thought of it. Thank you for the help! :)

It’s inexpensive and centrally located, with friendly staff and lovely food. One suggestion: find your own driver, since the drivers arranged through the hotel overcharged me.
