Arotel

Being right in the middle of town makes this one of the best hotels in Antsirabe for going out at night. The rooms are large and clean, and the bathrooms have enough toiletries and cosmetics. Their restaurant has an elaborate menu, mostly European delicacies. There’s also a nice pool, plus massage, Spa, and Sauna facilities if you want some leisure time.

The staff were kind, Wi-Fi was excellent even in the room, and there was secure parking for my motorbike. My standard room was spacious, as was the bathroom. It had no airco, just a fan, but the water was extremely hot, the first time I'd had that during my travels around Madagascar. A very nice hotel.

The place was clean and the staff friendly. Breakfast was good and the service prompt. I only had breakfast, included as part of a tour, so I can't really comment on the rest of the food. The bathroom had shampoo, shower gel, and soap, and there was a safe in the room.

I don't recommend this hotel. We haven't been able to use the restaurant or pool once in six days because it seems to favor outside groups over guests staying in the rooms. When it's booked out like this, guests are told to use the outside restaurant. The hotel is made of wood and has a lot of ants, and don't expect much service. They reluctantly turn guests away or seat them in the most cramped spots in the restaurant. If you come here, be ready to swallow your pride. I'm leaving tomorrow.
