The staff were very nice, and the food was really, really good with generous portions. It's in the Haute Ville, so it's a little quieter than the city centre. Our first room had lots of ants, but when we asked about it, we were given another one. That room smelled of cigarette smoke from someone who had smoked there some time before, though it wasn't a major issue for us. A great stay for backpackers, perhaps less so if you're looking for higher standards.

The views and balcony were lovely, and it was a pleasure spending time with the people who run the hotel and work there. They're really good people. The place is very clean, the beds are comfortable, and there's hot water. They have dorms too.

I stayed twice, in two different rooms, and both were simple and clean. The host was kind and polite. It was a little hard to communicate since I don't know French. My second room had a wonderful city view, and the little garden with its swing gave the place a relaxing feel.

I really liked this simple, friendly place and would go back in a heartbeat. The room was in a separate building below, with lovely views of the hill and St François Xavier. The Malagasy plats de résistance were excellent, hats off to the cook. I also loved being close to Ambozontany, which felt less hectic than downtown. Misaotra!

Everything is affordable for the quality. The place is very clean and comfortable, with private rooms, dorms, or tents. There's hot water, a great restaurant, excellent staff, and a garage for cars.
