The location is good and the place seems clean enough, but the water shortage is a serious problem. The city tap doesn't provide enough pressure, and a private reserve system should make this easy to fix. Oddly, the cheaper rooms have running hot water, while the more expensive ones get buckets of cold water.

The view of the mountain behind Fort Dauphin is brilliant, and the staff are friendly. But I ordered "cafe noair" without sugar or milk and found sugar in the coffee, so I can't give it more than three stars. :)

The rooms are fairly OK for what they cost, but there's no water. If staying clean matters to you, this isn't the place unless you're only there for one night.

The terrace has a really nice view. The rooms are basic, and the water doesn't always run.
