The pool is nice.

The resort has a lot of work ahead of it. It feels old and neglected, and our bungalow's air conditioning was broken. Nobody gave us a proper explanation beyond saying the old unit no longer worked. The restaurant seemed to be left without supervision, with no head waiter. We were told breakfast started at 7:30, but staff showed up around 8 at best, and we often waited until 8:30. For any meal, they recommend ordering half a day early so the kitchen has time to prepare, yet that still doesn't spare you the wait. 🙄 There wasn't really a New Year's Eve dinner. The planned menu was replaced by grilled meat, served without plates, and dessert meant two scoops of ice cream. The staff seemed to have gone off to celebrate somewhere else. They clean the underwater pool walls with "CIF" cleaner..... In short..... plenty needs fixing.

It’s a well-designed hotel with ideal architecture, a great pool, and the beach just a two-minute walk away. The town is a 30-minute trip. I’d definitely come back, and I recommend it for families, but there are details that need attention. The hotel is now called the Samirah Hotel. There’s no suggestion box at reception, so guests have no easy way to leave feedback. Criticism is what helps a place improve. Breakfast is a mess; they should return to a simple traditional, American, or continental option. The extra milk serves no purpose, and after a week we’d tried everything on the menu. Offer a painting as an extra. Thick curtains would help block the daytime heat, otherwise the air conditioning has to run constantly. There are no waiters at the pool, so we’re always trying to find someone, and we never see the managers. They should have a tourism professional managing the place.

The family bungalow is spacious and pleasant, and the hotel is very close to the beach. It has real potential for families, but could use a few finishing touches. The staff are friendly, though they need better training, as they lack rigor and professionalism.
