L'antafa

Marcus was a great host. He shared useful information about the island and the costs of getting around, and checked that we had what we needed. The studio had a well equipped outdoor kitchen and a lovely garden view. We stayed 12 nights. It’s a quiet spot, about a 2 minute walk from the main road and 5 minutes from the beach. Restaurants are close to the beach, and there are little stalls selling basic vegetables for cooking. The main area is a 5 minute tuk-tuk ride away. There are larger apartments too, so it could suit solo travellers, couples or families. I’d recommend it if you want somewhere peaceful with easy access to what you need.

The apartments were clean and peaceful, and we loved saying hello to Black every day. Staying at l'Antafa really felt like home. We spent 20 days there and felt very comfortable. Markus, the owner, was always around to help and offer recommendations. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away, with amazing sunsets, and the main road is nearby for catching a tuktuk. There are also plenty of places close by to eat, dive, or buy basic groceries and vegetables to cook in the apartment kitchen. Thanks for everything, Markus!

Second time staying at Markus's, and it was even better! The kitchen is fully equipped, there's a large refrigerator, the decor has been improved, and the staff are lovely. The welcome is attentive, and the accommodation is superb, with European standards. The beach is an easy walk away, and Ambatuloaka is 10 minutes by tuk-tuk. There's also a new supermarket 4 minutes away by tuk-tuk for groceries.

It was so quiet and peaceful at Markus's place, just steps from the sea for walks and a stunning sunset. The studio matched its description, and the location made sightseeing feel safe and easy. From the warm welcome to the attentive staff, everything was perfect. Highly recommended without hesitation.
