Green Center Gili

We were right in the center, and the small parking area still fit both our vehicles. The room had good air-conditioning, and the rooftop restaurant was good too.

The staff were amazing, and I honestly feel bad for them, but the owners were the absolute worst. We had three rooms and a terrible stay. For days at a time there was no heat or hot water, and the WiFi was out for over two weeks. They said our floor had been recently renovated, yet the mattresses were rock hard and the bathrooms smelled so bad we wanted to vomit whenever we went in. We could barely get towels, and there wasn’t even a towel rack in the rooms. The rooms were dingy despite the claimed renovation, and the hotel is kept to the bare minimum while charging so much per night. Our family had stayed here multiple times, for weeks at a time, but we’ll never come back. How can they charge luxury prices for slums?

Mr Ramazan, the hotel manager, was helpful, and Mr Neco, the restaurant chef, was so kind. The rooms were clean too. What more could you ask for?

We were glad we could park our bikes safely and easily. The hotel is fairly good by N. Macedonia standards, with a clean bathroom and air-conditioning. Still, 45 Eur for a double room felt a little overpriced. Breakfast was fine, with a choice of three menus, but having to pay extra for a third cup of coffee seemed ridiculous. We later noticed several other hotels nearby that we hadn’t seen on Google beforehand, so it may be worth checking those first. They might cost even less.
