Hotel Fersped

The location earns the two stars, and the staff were very friendly, though the hotel seemed badly understaffed. We stayed two nights, but our room wasn’t made up, we got no fresh towels, and nothing else was provided. There’s no parking, so you have to look for a spot in the main square alongside everyone visiting the ski center. Breakfast was decent, but the restaurant was awful. The dish called Grilled mushrooms turned out to be warmed canned mushrooms, as shown in the attached picture.

I’ve never had a worse hotel stay. The rooms smelled moldy and the furniture was falling apart. My bathroom was tiny, about 1m x 1m, and its door wouldn’t close. The doors between rooms in the apartment wouldn’t close either, so there was no privacy. The food was below standard, while the prices were like those at a good hotel. The chair I was sitting on broke as I leaned back, hurting my behind and foot. The managers didn’t care at all. One manager was rude and said, “If you say we gave you a broken chair, we can just say you broke it. The more you say one way, the more I’ll contradict you.” I’d never come back. Avoid this place.

The staff were generally friendly, and the buffet breakfast was good. The hotel is a little old but fine, though the price felt high even with the ski area right next door. I wouldn’t have dinner there again. We tried kebapis, spaghetti bolognese, and grilled mushrooms, and all tasted a bit strange except for the shopska salad. The veal soup wasn’t bad, but that’s just my taste. The people working here are very kind.
