Villa & Winery Mal Sveti Kliment

I could have stayed all night. The atmosphere is warm, the food fantastic, and the wine outstanding. This winery is pure magic, and Kliment is a terrific host, charismatic, friendly, and passionate about his work.

The tasting came with a menu made to match Macedonian wines with local food and flavors. Amir spoke about the wine with real passion and had great recommendations. The food was good, and the chef gets a thumbs-up 👍🏻. Such a cosy atmosphere and an amazing place. Highly recommend it.

The wine selection was so varied, and gave us a great taste of what Macedonia has to offer. I’m a bit of a wine buff, and trying wines with notes I’d never come across before was a real treat, including a red that tasted of sour cherry. The tasting felt like chatting with a friend rather than being guided by a waitress, and every wine was interesting. My partner got the bruschetta pairing, and I was so jealous after trying a few bites. They were all divine and went so well with the wines. I wish I’d ordered my own.

Kliment gave us royal treatment from beginning to end. I’ve only had that kind of attention in a few places in Monaco. The winery was a great experience and definitely worth a visit.
